| Thallus off-white to very pale fawn, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata conspicuous, sessile, simple, straight, curved or sinuous, 1–5 mm long, 0.2–0.4 mm wide; lips closed, with a negligible thalline margin. Proper exciple laterally or almost completely carbonised, sulcate, with 1 or 2 grooves on either side of the slit (additional grooves visible in vertical section). Hymenium 125–150 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 10–14-locular, 35–70 × 9–12 (–15) µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |
